THE STORY

As a punishment for getting wasted on the night of prom, Mika Fiore's parents have sent her away to be with her grandmother in California. Spoiled, entitled Mika has her hopes set on a summer spent on her romantic vision of California, but it turns out that her grandmother lives in a tiny village on the outskirts of Los Angeles, inhabited by hippies. Mika's in for the most life-changing summer of her life as she adapts, and eventually adopts some of the new perspectives on life that she learns from her grandmother and a few of the local kids.
